OASIS C and Pressure Ulcers

A Lunch & Learn Audio-Conference
by

Lisa Selman-Holman, JD, BSN, RN, HCS-D, COS-C
Selman-Holman & Associates, LLC, Denton, Texas

Thursday, March 5, 2009
*** 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Central Time ***

 Audio-Conference Description

New coding guidelines conflict with OASIS guidance on pressure ulcers. For example, a pressure ulcer treated with a muscle graft is no longer a pressure ulcer according to OASIS guidance, but is still coded as a pressure ulcer. Identify the stage codes for pressure ulcers. These changes are a foresight to OASIS C changes on pressure ulcers. Get your OASIS and coding correct and ready yourself for OASIS C and possible reimbursement changes for pressure ulcers.
