Background: An Act relating to health care, health care providers, and health care coverage, providing for appropriations, providing penalties, and providing retroactive and other effective dates.

IAHC Position: Monitor

Home and Community-Based Services Waiver for the Elderly - Inclusion of Assisted Living Services (HF 57)

Background: An Act relating to inclusion of assisted living services under the medical assistance home and community-based services waiver for the elderly.

Comments: The counties and Center for Assisted Living are in support while the Area Agencies on Aging are against it.

IAHC Position: Monitor

Reimbursement for Medical Assistance Under Home and Community-Based Waiver (SF 60)

Background: An Act relating to reimbursement for services provided under a medical assistance home and community-based services waiver for the elderly.

Comments: The Area Agencies on Aging and the Iowa Center for Assisted Living are supporting this legislation. A number of groups are undecided including the Iowa Medical Society.
