The pilot program was successful and feedback from members supports moving to contract for agency unlimited IDs. IAHC will be developing an agency pre-order form for unlimited IDs. Pricing will be contingent upon the number of agencies who sign up for the service, but are estimated to be between $50-$200 per agency. IAHC will need to determine the factors to be considered for pricing (i.e. flat rate per agency or tier pricing based on the number of agency IDs requested).

HCIN continues to be a viable source of education for members, but we are waiting to see where the new management will take this offering.

New agreement and program content is available. Evaluations for education are available upon request. Would like to have a volunteer to be the clinical point person for RBC Limited. Discussion regarding which program(s) to offer.

                                                                                                                 

b.      Certification for Home Care and Hospice Executives (CHCE) – is this certification sanctioned?

 

c.       OASIS Webinar Series – presenter Pat Jump. MHCA presented six one-hour webinars this past fall. Pat is contracted to present a one-hour webinar “OASIS-C Roundup: Validating Accuracy, Purging the Uncertainty” on March 30th. Discussion regarding value of presenting some or all of the series to IAHC members.

 

d.      Lunch & Learn Series – discussion regarding expanding this program next fiscal year to include a monthly offering. Topics will need to be compelling for the price point offered, such as legal, leadership, human resources, other. Proposing to increase fees from $30 to $45 per webinar with an option to package a deal (i.e. 6 or more webinars for $30 each). Will need to consider speaker fees with a rate of $300-$500.

e.      Consumer Event – requested feedback from MHCA: “It was successful because the planning committee took on all of the marketing work.  Some of the team actually put up monies for marketing such as a radio spot and a newsaper ad.which can be very expensive.  They also found 25 venders --- all without any help from me or the association.  I ran a registration but found most ppl don’t want to commit till very late.  I charged $10 to cover the lunch but it didn’t because it was at a hotel.  The booth cost of $275 covered most the expenses – came out even.  We got the cable company to video tape it and we now have a DVD we’ll be putting on our webpage.” 

                                                                                                                                                    

f.        Refund/Cancellation Policy – verbiage is now included on brochures/registrations.

                                                                                                                                                    

g.       AHHC Revenue Share – Evaluations are available when Nursing contact hours are offered. For the caregivers series, there are no CEUs or evaluations. To date, IAHC has not participated in AHHC education that offers CEUs. All have been caregivers directed education.

 

h.      Briggs Corporation – Update that Briggs signed on as a Bronze sponsor. However, restructuring in their organization has occurred and their future involvement, including exhibit booth space at the 2010 Annual Conference & Expo, is questionable.

·         Pursuing online registration

 

·         Pursuing CEUs for other disciplines besides nursing.

 

Develop library of orientation based training. - Clinical training for mid-level personnel. Medicare 101. Developing training audio or video orientations. Podcasts

 

j.        Credit Card Processing Capability – application was completed and accepted. Rolled out for exhibitor registration. IAHC members used credit card payment for legal lunch & learn.
